Release Date of King’s Man Changed – / Movie

release date of the king man

Disney did a bit of housework today, announcing some new dates for certain movies, while also thinking of some titles. The King’s Man, a Kingsman prequel that has been delayed several times has been delayed again. Nomadland now has an official release date. And Marvel’s The Eternals took some advice from Facebook and dropped the “de.”

The King’s Man, the last entry in Matthew Vaughn‘s inexplicably never ending Kingsman series, has a new date. Wer. The film was originally scheduled to open on November 15, 2019. Then it was released after February 14, 2020, and then re-released after September 18, 2020. And now it’s here again, shaken to a new date: February 26, 2021. This latest move is probably due to the coronavirus, which – yep – is still running, and still playing hell with theatrical release dates. In The King’s Man, “When a collection of the worst tyrants and criminal masterminds in history gather to plan a war to exterminate millions, one man and his protégé must race against time to stop them.”

Meanwhile, Nomadland, a new movie from Chloé Zhao, in the lead role Frances McDormand as “a woman in her sixties who, after losing everything in the Great Recession, traveling through the American West, lives as a no-nomad of the neighborhood,” now has a release date: 4 December, 2020. The title premieres in September at both the Venice Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival, and will also play at the New York Film Festival this month.

Then there’s Disney and Pixar’s Luca. That movie, “a story of the age about one young boy who experiences an unforgettable summer full of gelato, pasta and endless scooter rides,” will arrive on June 18, 2021. That movie was untitled for a while, but we knew the title for a few months now, with Pixar making it official a month ago. I think Disney decided to put out an announcement making it official.

And finally, Marvel took in some hints from Sean Parker The Social Network, and decided to simply cut out the “de” The Eternals. It’s cleaner, as Justin Timberlake would say. That movie is set to arrive 12 February, 2021. In Eternities, “The Eternals – an immortal alien race created by the Celestials who have secretly lived on Earth for over 7000 years – reunite to protect humanity from their evil counterparts, the Deviants.” Personally, I root for the Deviants.
