Apple confirmed last month that its new iPhone will be available delayed “a few weeks,” leading to speculation of the expected business iPhone 12 setup will not be public until October. Apple typically unveiled its new phones in September. Now a new leak could offer a more specific timeline.

Apple may discover the iPhone 12 during a events the week of October 12th, according to a tweet from mobile leaker and Front Page Tech host Jon Prosser. Pre-orders for the new iPhone would also start this week with devices starting shipping in the week of October 19, according to Prosser.

Apple did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

In what would be a surprise, Prosser said the expected Apple Watch 6 could be unveiled in September alongside a new iPad ahead of the new iPhones. The Apple Watch 6 is rumored to include SpO2 tracking, the ability to control oxygen saturation in the blood, and offers more robust sleep tracking.

At this point, all dates are still called and Prosser recognized in a follow-up tweet that the start timing could still change.
