Years after launch, Red Dead Redemption 2 fans have finally solved one of the game’s biggest mysteries: the ghosts of Bolger Gate.
If you’ve ever galloped down the roads of Saint Denis and listened to the sounds of the battlefield, that’s not your imagination. Although we are several years away from launching Red Dead Redemption 2There is a very active group of fans who rebuild and solve a host of urban mysteries, rumors, and legends behind the Rockstar game. Now, for the first time, we have a video capture of Bolger Glade’s rumored Civil War battle.
This is the first time that fans of Red Dead Redemption 2 I’ve been talking about the ghost sounds of the Civil War. In Reddit community / r / RedDeadMysteries, there has been speculation since the game’s release about bell sounds, gunshots, and screams around Bolger’s Gate. By digging into some of the audio files, YouTuber RedDeadUnderworld managed to put together the hidden content in one complete scene:
And while extracting data from audio files is an ingenious way to see what’s in the code, it doesn’t necessarily prove that there is a way to access it in-game. Fortunately, a few days later, the Reddit user (motivated by the recent audio discovery) camped around Bolger Gate to see if he could activate it.
Captured by Reddit user / u / MonsterTheKing55, it seems like being in the right place (church windows abandoned by Bolger Gate) during a midnight thunderstorm does the trick. After the bell rings, you can hear rumors of Civil War soldiers, horns, horses, and General Harris planning their next tactics. Definitely beyond the reach of normal Arthur Morgan adventures:

And while many were suspicious, given how soon this fell after the previous audio leak, it seems like it can be recreated as long as all the other triggers (weather, storm, etc.) are present. So if you want to go ghost hunting Red Dead Redemption 2Now is your time.
