Razr’s first mainstream laptop still has an RGB keyboard

The slim, lightweight package is something that razor fans are already accustomed to, and they will appreciate some other familiar features as well. The most prominent of these is the razor chroma integration that allows users to customize the color of individual buttons on the keyboard. You can set this to a rainbow theme if you want, or use it to highlight shortcut-specific keys for programs like Photoshop, Premier or more. As such, Razor said lighting helps productivity and is not just for fun aesthetics.

Book 13 also has some other features brought from its gaming-focused siblings. The keyboard is flanked by two upward facing speakers for clear sound, and the Blade series has the same THX audio Dio enhancement. The Book 13 also has a steam chamber cooling system to keep things cool and run smoothly (and quietly, which reduces interference according to the razor.) It also supports the company’s Core X external GPU via Thunderbolt cable.

You won’t need to hook up to EGPU unless you’re looking for a more intense gaming session – Book 13 comes with an 11th-generation Intel Core i5 or i7 processor and Iris Z graphics that should be enough for a casual game. . You’ll also get 8GB or 16GB of RAM so multitasking should be easy. Those who want additional storage can opt for the 512GB configuration or upgrade to a 2TB drive.

The Book 13’s touch models are certified under Intel’s Evo program, meaning they last up to 14 hours, use up to 4 hours in 30 minutes, and offer features such as Instant Wake and Modern Standby. The non-touch variable is not EVO-certified as a touchscreen is a prerequisite for that program.

All of this is wrapped in a CNC-milled frame with anodized white finish that is electro-chemically bonded to the aluminum body. Razr said this makes the book 13 durable and scratch-resistant. Only one color option is available – this is similar to the “Mercury White” manufacturer-centric Blade 15 series. Book 13 starts at 19,199 and you can pre-order it today. The units will start shipping later this month.
