Razor’s first gaming chair is a curved Secretlab Omega / Titan with fancy lumbar support

It’s not clear if Razor commissioned Secretlab to create a special new gaming chair, or just decided to mimic one of today’s classic favorites, but the new $ 499 Razor Iskur is a dead ringer for Secretlab Omega and Titan at the same price.

You can compare the design, recline mechanism, stitching – the hack, just look at the 4D armrests nearby – and the inspiration is very clear.

But the razor is clearly pushing it as a step beyond the secretlab in terms of spinal support, as you can see in the image comparing this thin screen:

Razor did not use the word “secretlab” in his press briefing.

Despite the Secretlab Omega’s small bucket seat and Titan’s larger, more comfortable frame for gamers up to about 500 pounds and .2.5 feet tall, the biggest difference here is a curve rear and a large adjustable lumbar support in place.

It’s true that Omega’s removable pillow and Titan’s lumbar dial haven’t received exactly rave reviews. We are curious if Iskur’s jut-out-angle-pad, which looks like a snake’s belly, would be better:

That said, plenty of gamers swear by Secretlab chairs for support with or without a lumbar – mine was great for my back, but I sold it because of the sore butt. Omega and Titan also have another thing, you: you can easily buy something that is not quite garish and does not embroider with the company’s motto.

It will be available on Razor’s website today, with more retailers coming later this year.
