Raptors’ Kyle Lowry Exists Game 4 vs. Nothing with ankle injuries

Guardyle Toronto Raptors Kyle Lowry will not return to Game 4 against the Brooklyn Nets after turning his left ankle in the first quarter, the team announced.

With just over three minutes left in the first quarter, Lowry dribbled onto the court when he was cut off by Nets guard Chris Chiozza. Lowry’s left foot stepped on Chiozza’s foot, and the Raptors’ point guard began to limp immediately.

Lowry left the arena for diagnostic imaging elsewhere on the NBA campus, the Raptors said.

After a time-out, Lowry immediately returned to the game, but immediately realized that something was wrong. After limping through an offensive possession – which still ended in a 3-pointer for Toronto – Lowry committed a foul to stop the clock and undermine himself out of the game.

Instead of going back to the Raptors’ bench, Lowry went straight to the Toronto dressing room.

The Raptors are looking for their first playoff sweep in franchise history on Sunday against the Nets. They have a conference semifinal matchup with the Boston Celtics ahead as they take off from Brooklyn.

Lowry, who averaged 19.4 points, 7.5 assists and 5 rebounds per game in the regular season, scored 16 points, 5.3 assists and 8.7 rebounds in the Raptors’ first three playoff games.
