The 23-year-old, whose real name is Ricky Lamar Hawke, was arrested Monday, the Declub County Police Department said in a statement. Police are investigating the death of his 34-year-old cousin, Frederick Roux.
According to a Declabe County Police report, police responded to a call about a Jan. 21 shooting and found Rooks with multiple gunshot wounds on the road in the Atlanta area of Pantherville, Georgia. Rooks was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
At least one gun was seized in security camera footage from nearby homes, with several vehicles fleeing the scene at high speed, the report said.
Silent was later identified as a suspect, police said in a statement.
Investigators have not yet determined the motive for the shooting.
Silent was jailed Monday and is currently being held on murder charges, prison records show. Authorities charged him with manslaughter.
