Randy Wade takes the fight to campus.
The father of the Ohio State cornerback, Shaun Wade, organized on Friday afternoon a rally of a few dozen parents of Big Ten athletes near Big Ten headquarters in Rosemont, Illinois, when they asked for transparency and communication following the conference’s decision to postpone its fall season.
Now, Wade is bringing that fight to the Ohio State campus, and he hopes other parents will follow through on the conference.
Wade is organizing a rally, similar to the one that took place on Friday, outside the North Roundabout of Ohio Stadium on Saturday at 11 a.m., and he is urging parents on other programs about the Big Ten to participate in Columbus or to organize similar events. meetings at their respective schools.

Several other Ohio State footballers’ parents – including Kamryn Babb’s stepmother Amanda, the president of Football Parents at Ohio State, and Paris Johnson Jr.’s mother Monica – have also indicated they will be in the shoes for the demonstration.

In a second tweet, Wade also told encouraged Ohio State fans who plan to attend Saturday’s protest to be sure to wear a mask.

After Friday’s rally, Wade said he would continue to push for more communication and transparency from the Big Ten, and would even organize another protest if needed.
“If we have to, we’ll make another statement,” Wade said after Friday’s rally. ‘Maybe I can put it in a weekend, maybe I can put it in a better location, and we’ll make another statement. We will continue to press until we have some more transparency. ”
With the rally planned for Saturday outside the Schoe, Wade follows through on the promise.
