Ever wanted the worlds of Animal Crossing: New Horizons and the Simpsons to collide? No? Well done, because it happens anyway.
Using a stunning variety of animations, locations, and in-game character items, the people at YouTube channel Great-Bit Arcade have gathered this recreation from the cartoon’s iconic opening series. Not everything you see is re-recorded in-game – characters really do not have cars or skateboards, of course – but some of the character reactions are in place and there’s a nice surprise waiting for you at the end.
We’ve seen several wonderful video attempts over the past few months, all using villagers and player characters to have wonderful effects. If you want to see something more, watch this expert recreation of a scene from Parks and Recreation, or this video that re-enters the game as a horror movie.
Thank goodness Nintendo brought back the ability to remove the game’s UI for nice, clean video opportunities, huh?
