Former White House Chief of Staff Rance Prebs responded to Twitter late Wednesday night about the election situation in Wisconsin.
In a special meeting that lasted more than five hours, Democrats from the State Election Commission demanded a change in the recount guidelines after the Trump 2020 campaign filed a petition for a state vote review in Dan and Milwaukee counties.
“Let’s do this straight,” Preebs wrote. “The Trump campaign sent an election commission. Mil 3 million and after filing its application for recount, the WEC immediately called a special meeting to change some of the recount rules considering the issues raised in the petition? You can’t make this! ”
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports that the meeting in the state capital, Madison, turned into a “partisan brawl,” with three Republicans and three Democrats arguing about how agents should conduct a recount between coronavirus epidemics.

Democrats insisted their proposed changes would guide current state law, while Republicans argue that no guidelines should be changed after the Trump campaign is filed, according to the Associated Press.
Issues of argument include how to determine whether an absentee ballot was issued illegally and how far the counting observers should position themselves, the Journal Sentinel report said.
Eventually both parties agreed to begin counting as early as Friday and end by December 1, so the state could certify the results.
At one point, Republican Commissioner Bob Spindle expressed concern about the recaptures in Dan County (Madison’s home) and Milwaukee County (the state’s largest city home), noting that most polling stations in Milwaukee County were closed due to virus outbreaks.
“I don’t think we can trust the canvassers of Dan or Milwaukee County, especially for the April election after they reduced 180 polling stations to five terrible types of polling stations, which caused all sorts of problems, including repression.” Said, according to the newspaper.
Commissioner Julie Glancy, a Democrat, then accused Spindle of “beating Democrats.”
“This is ridiculous,” he told Spindle. “All you and Dean [GOP Commissioner Dean Knudesen] Keep talking about it, these evil Democrats are going to do something nasty so this honest, hardworking Republican won’t be able to see what’s going on – and I’m fed up with it. “
