“Ralf will not assume any role at AC Milan”

After several months of reports, many suggesting that the matter was almost announced, AC Milan decided to cut Ralf Rangnick’s arrival. In fact, the German will not join the club.

The current Red Bull director was expected to lead the Rossoneri youth revolution this summer, completely changing the administration. However, due to Stefano Pioli’s recent success, this will not be the case next season.

Earlier tonight, Kicker reported that Milan had decided to stay with the former head of Fiorentina, thus canceling Rangnick’s arrival. Now, Bild has provided more information on the matter.

Rangnick’s consultant Marc Kosicke confirmed to the newspaper that the manager and Milan have decided not to move forward together. Recently, it has been suggested that he might come alone as a director, but that won’t be the case either.

“AC Milan and Ralf Rangnick have agreed that this is not the right time at the moment and that there is no momentum to work together. Due to this and taking into account the good development and results under coach Pioli, it was jointly decided that Ralf will not assume any role at AC Milan, ”he said.

It’s certainly a surprising turn of events that few expected, though Pioli’s success has raised some questions.
