The final rounds of the Lucas Oil NHRA Summernationals in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Raceway have been delayed due to bad weather.
After a long rain delay before the final in Top Fuel and Funny Car, NHRA officials Mello Yello Drag Racing Series announced that the fourth race of the 2020 season will be completed during the Denso Spark Plugs NHRA US Nationals, which will have place from 3 to 6 September. at Lucas Oil Raceway.
At Top Fuel, a first-time winner will be crowned when TJ Zizzo and rookie Justin Ashley advanced to the final round for the first time in their careers. After finishing eighth on his 11,000-horsepower Rust-Oleum dragster, Zizzo reaches the final with victories against Terry Totten, Todd Paton and Terry McMillen. Ashley continued to impress during his outstanding rookie season, advancing to his first final round in his dragster Strustmasters.com/Menards with victories against Shawn Langdon, points leader Doug Kalitta and Leah Pruett.
