There is no doubt that, based on his contributions towards the end of last season and in the playoffs, Raheem Mostert is very poorly paid. That’s why San Francisco 49ers running backs requested a raise this offseason, according to Josina Anderson.
Mostert accepted a multi-year deal in the offseason. Of course, that was long before his 29-carry, 220-yard, and four-touchdown performance against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. The broker would like to rework the deal, according to the report, as an acknowledgment of its increased output.
I was told that the RB 49ers Raheem Mostert applied for a raise earlier this offseason. While the three-year deal he got last season includes hasty incentives in each year of the team’s contract, I understand that Mostert still wants more meaningful recognition for his high output.

This explains why Matt Barrows of The Athletic reported this week that the 49ers had at least discussed the possibility of a contract extension for Mostert.
“Mostert becomes an unrestricted free agent in 2022,” Barrows wrote, “but, considering his contributions on special teams and on offense, he’s underpaid. That’s the incentive to come to a new deal with him.”
Mostert led the team with 772 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on 137 carries last season. He expects to receive a heavier workload in 2020 and has prepared this offseason for a bigger role.
Last season, # 49ers RB Raheem Mostert led all riders at YPC. Mostert also led the 49ers’ RB in rushing yards, TDs and YPR; and he was also the MVP of the NFC championship game, posting 220ry and 4TD.

“Right now, I am getting stronger,” Mostert explained in May. “Actually, I’m gaining more muscle, which is kind of weird just because I really couldn’t think about gaining muscle because I’ve already had muscle like that.”
“I’m just trying to incorporate those things into my daily workouts so I can take those punches and be one of those guys who takes 200 carries. I have to prepare for that, and the only way I can know how to be bulky and stronger.”

The San Francisco 49ers are in no danger of losing last season’s running back Raheem Mostert any time soon. He doesn’t become an unrestricted free agent until 2022. However, fourth-year wide receiver Kendrick Bourne is slated to become a free agent next year after signing a one-year tender in April. The 49ers have had discussions about contract extensions for both players, according to Matt Barrows of The Athletic. “I know that the extensions for Mostert and Bourne have been discussed,” Barrows wrote in this week’s mail exchange.
Raheem Mostert is a positive example for other 49ers players, says Richard Hightower

San Francisco 49ers special teams coordinator Richard Hightower may have lost one of his unit’s aces with running back Raheem Mostert appearing in attack, but he has gained an example for the team’s younger players. Mostert joined the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2015. He spent time with six teams before landing with the 49ers next year. Even then, the runner contributed primarily to special teams. After all, that’s where so many NFL players have to prove themselves by entering the league. Mostert burst onto the scene last season, and the NFL caught on when he rushed for 220 yards and four touchdowns on 29 carries against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. “I would feel bad if I didn’t say how proud I am of

If you open the Notes app on the San Francisco 49ers phone with the Raheem Mostert phone, you’ll see a list of six NFL teams. They are the Philadelphia Eagles, Miami Dolphins, Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, New York Jets and Chicago Bears. Those are the six teams that left him before signing with the San Francisco 49ers in 2016. “Always there (on my phone),” Mostert recently told ESPN’s Jordan Schultz. “It never goes away until I can finally rule it out.” What does it mean to finally discard it? Mostert paused for a second to think about that Schultz question. His mind possibly thinking about those six teams and how being cut by each one has motivated him during his trip to the NFL. Mostert entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent for
