Update: The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health reported 2 new deaths and 2,238 positive cases. Like all numbers reported over the weekend, the low number of deaths reflects the reporting delay.
Although the numbers are lower than in November, the new update is a continuation of the trend. This marks the fourth consecutive day of more than 2,000 cases.
To date, there have been 322,207 positive COVID-19 cases and 7,172 deaths. While 851 people are currently hospitalized
29% are in ICU. About 3,257,000 individuals tested positive and 9% tested positive.

Previous: Los Angeles Public Health confirmed Saturday that it has announced 15 new deaths and 2,418 new positive cases tied to the coronavirus. A recent update by Los Angeles County officials continues to see the upward trend in cases, marking the third consecutive day of more than 2,000 new cases.
Friday’s reports show an increase in the number on Saturday where Public Health confirmed 2,065 cases. In addition to new deaths and cases, Public Health admits 840 existing hospitals, with 30% of patients receiving treatment in the ICU. As COVID-19 figures continue to rise, officials recommend that, despite the desire to protest or celebrate after the local and presidential election results, county residents continue to avoid large crowds.

To date, Los Angeles County has identified a total of 319,977 positive cases and a total of 7,170 deaths. As of Saturday, the United States has seen a sharp rise across the board, with more than 9.9 million confirmed COVID-19 cases and more than 237,500 deaths as of Saturday.
Residents are being warned to avoid the growing crowds of COVID-19 outbreaks in LA County.
