Sony has released photos of hand controllers for the second iteration of the PSVR system – this is designed for the PS5 console and is expected to arrive in 2022 or 2023.
While the updated headset will have new features and sports wrap, the controllers are now detailed. The PS move used by default revolves around a glowing ball at each end.
The new controllers are much larger similar to the Oculus Quest 2, although slightly larger than the wrist protection / tracking, and are better designed to reduce hand barriers with ergonomics and balance.
It includes two main features of the PS5’s dual sense controllers – namely heptic feedback and adaptive triggers – to detect finger contact.
The new headset is expected to have a single cord set up with better resolution, field of view, tracking and ease of use with input. It is expected to be unveiled later in the year.
