Update: Walmart Canada PS5 restocking is on when it takes off from PT / 11 AM ET at 8am – 11:15 pm and the site is currently experiencing a large amount of traffic and is not currently loading.
Despite recent PS5 restocks at stores such as Walmart and GS Mustop, including Black Friday and Cyber Monday, it has been frustratingly difficult to find a PS5 or PS5 digital available for purchase directly from a major retailer for several months now. Now that we are officially in December and Christmas is just a week away, one wonders when more PS5 units will be available for shoppers in stores like Wonder Lamart, Gamest Top 5, Target and Best Buy. a Tweet from Sony Confirmed that “retailers will have more inventory before the end of the year,” but did not keep it to get your hands on the PS5 console.
So will Wal-Mart, Gamestop, Target, Best Buy or any other big retailer have PS5 available to re-order? Will they be available only for online shopping, in stores or for pick-up? Some retailers have been selling Cyber Week for a few days now, so we’ll keep an eye on those product pages and let you know as soon as we see more PS5 units on sale – you’ll have to stay fast if you want one!
Where to buy PS5
PS5 availability on PlayStation Direct
PlayStation Direct regularly opens queues to buy the PS5 (and anything else on the first-party site), but whether the PS5 is even available is often a matter of an hour’s wait and unclear. Still, it’s worth checking out PS Direct regularly, as it’s the only store that still releases PS5 on some regular basis.
Note that finding a queue on PS Direct does not mean that PS5 is in stock; It easily indicates high traffic to the store. It never jumps and waits if you find a queue and you’ll be at your computer for a while, but know there’s no guarantee that it will be in stock until you pass.
PS5 availability at GameStop
We don’t know when you’ll be able to buy PS5 from GameStop again.
Gamestot saw a wild console restocks during Black Friday. Dozens of people camped outside the stores for the chance to get their hands on a store-on-sale new PlayStation console, which had extremely limited stock. Other than that, in the form of expensive console bundles, many restocks have been made available and discontinued on the Gamestop website, but they are also selling fast. If you don’t mind a premier PS5 bundle, it’s not a terrible deal – you often get extra games, controllers and accessories with your purchase.
You can sign up to receive a stock alert from Gamestop before any of these bundles are sold, but so far it’s been very random.
PS5 availability on Walmart
We don’t know if you’ll be able to buy a PS5 from Walmart again.
Mart Mart re-stocked the PS5 during its big Black Friday sale, but the console sold out in two minutes. There is currently no new information about when the PS5 stock will be available. Walmart has kept all its releases just far offline-yet, so you won’t find the PS5 in Walmart stores very soon. It is possible that the ock will come again before Christmas, but the store has not indicated anything yet. We continue to monitor for Cyber Monday.
Best Buy on PS5 Availability
We don’t know when you’ll be able to buy the PS5 from Best Buy.
Best Buy has confirmed that it won’t have a PS5 unit in stores throughout the holiday season, so you won’t see a PS5 in any Best Buy brick-and-mortar stores until 2021. We have seen the stock grow on the Best Buy website. Including midnight, without much warning before Black Friday. Keep an eye out and you’ll be able to score one ahead of time. It would be available with the in-store pickup option if there was any hint of a Best Buy latest Xbox restock, but something is not certain.
PS5 availability on Amazon
We don’t know when you’ll be able to purchase the PS5 from Amazon.
As indicated on Amazon’s product page, Amazon doesn’t even know when the PS5 will be in stock.
PS5 availability on target
We don’t know when you’ll be able to buy the PS5 from Target again.
Targets aren’t re-establishing much after the PS5 launches, so we don’t expect more PS5 units to pop up this week.
PS5 availability at other retailers
If you don’t mind paying for the Preser PS5, you can always find the console and its accessories on reseller sites like StocksX and eBay. The resale price on StockX is currently between $ 800 and $ 900, although you can bid to buy the console at least. This site has plenty of stock, so if you’re desperate, it’s worth checking out if you can negotiate the right price.
As expected, scalpers are making money on the situation by hoarding PS5 and selling it for hundreds of dollars more than their MSRP. All the hoardings and resale makes the average shopper’s ability to buy a PS5 before the holidays more of a headache, so if you don’t support it, then check here.
Where to buy PS5 accessories
The Pulse 3D Wireless Headset is the toughest PS5 accessory to meet in stock, and was the first accessory to be sold at major retailers. However, there are still many great headsets that you can buy to go with your new PS5. Our personal favorite razor is the BlackShark V2 Pro wireless headset; Other best options include SteelSeries Arctis 1 and Astro A50.
Other official facial PS5 accessories, such as a media remote and dual sense charging station, are also proving popular, and out of stock.

There are now quite a few PS5 games available, including projection titles like Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Monster Souls. Keep in mind that many PS4 games come with free next-gen upgrades and are currently discounted, making them a better deal.
