But the developer insists it’s not a service game
You’ll need to connect to the Internet to enjoy the PlayStation 5 console exclusive Godfall when it launches on November 12th, and it’s not a “service game” despite the developer’s insistence. Confirmation comes courtesy The publisher’s Twitter account, Fans discovered the next-gen hack-and-slash title denies a “play online game essential” on the Ation Facial PlayStation product page.
A spokesman said Godfall is not a service game, but it requires an internet connection to play. It’s not necessarily why there’s a need, but needless to say, fans aren’t happy. Some pointed out that the title would not be played if its servers should ever shut down, but we’d like to think that won’t happen for a few more years – especially if the title succeeds.
Does this stop you from buying Godfall, or are you not interested in the first place? Make sure you have an attachment in the comments section below.
