PS Plus games for August 2020 include Fall Guys, now free

PlayStation’s few August freebies for PlayStation Plus subscribers are now available for download. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 campaign Remastered was released early, but now you can also pick up Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout, a new online multiplayer game that makes its debut today. Both PS4 games are free until the next list of (currently unannounced) PS Plus games arrives on September 1st.

Campaign for Modern Warfare 2 resumed, as the name suggests, is a reissue of the 2009 Infinity Ward hit single-player campaign. It was just launched in March and marks the second time in recent months that a Call of Duty game has been added to the PlayStation Plus program; Call of Duty: WWII was released in June. It also happened to be added to the program before its month officially began. While it’s disappointing that the remaster did not include the game’s excellent multiplayer suite, Modern Warfare 2 has one of the best campaigns in the series, and it looks great on PS4.

Meanwhile Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a brand new multiplayer game published by Devolver Digital that was released on August 4th. Although priced at $ 20, PlayStation Plus subscribers can grab it for free on launch day. It’s already become something of a mom because of its goofy gameplay and charm. It is also available on Steam.

The game pits you and up to 59 other players against each other in one of the sillier and lighter battle royalties to date. You play as funny little creatures that have terrible balance. Fall Guys is bright, colorful, and full of chaotic action. Each game has a variety of challenges and obstacles. Some of them are played solo, while others let you collaborate with other players. You can also customize your character with many different outfits.
