Scott Peterson returned to court in Stanislaus, Calif., On a virtual basis – for the first time in more than a decade on Friday to hear his wife, Lacey, and their unborn son plead guilty to murder.
Peterson, 47, wears a blue top and blue face mask for PT court appearances in Stanilas County Superior Court, where prosecutors have stated they intend to retry the execution phase of the Peterson case. Peterson appeared from the San Quentin State Prison, but said nothing during the hearing.
In addition to the death penalty, Petersen’s legal representation was addressed to the organization at Friday’s hearing. His presentation during the hearing was, in part, by his former co-counsel, Pat Harris. Harris said Friday he would introduce Peterson as a private adviser.
The hearing has been adjourned until November 6.

On Oct. 14, the California Supreme Court ordered Peterson to re-examine his guilt to determine whether he should receive a new trial. And in August, the Supreme Court overturned Peterson’s death sentence, pointing to “significant errors” in the jury selection process.
Also present at the hearing were Statillas District Attorney Birgit Phaladagar and Chief Deputy District Attorney Dave Harris, one of Petersen’s 2004 attorneys.
On Friday, before Peterson’s appearance, his sister-in-law Jenny Peterson told Fox News that justice for Lassi and Connor was “the most important.”
“As big a tragedy as Scott is on death row, we still don’t have justice for Lassie and Connor.” “His murder has not been solved. Our goal is to not only free Scott, but solve the crime. “
Mark Geragos, who also introduced Peterson at the hearing, told Fox News on Thursday that he was not surprised the case was sent back to San Mateo for review.
“I always thought he would get some relief at some point, and I’m glad to see that happen now,” he told the hearing.
Peterson was convicted in 2004 of murdering 27 at the time, and his unborn son Connor, in 2004. Lassi was eight months pregnant at the time of death.
In 2003, Stanislas prosecutors charged Peterson with double murder, but the case was later moved to San Mateo County, about 90 miles from the Modesto couple’s Central Valley home. Investigators say Peterson took the corpse from his corpse home and dumped it in a fishing boat into San Francisco Bay, where they were found months later.
He has maintained his innocence.

The court said the case was asked to be re-examined after a jury found she had committed “biased misconduct” by failing to declare her involvement in other legal proceedings. According to officials, the juror, Rachel Nice, sued Rocky in 2000 to obtain a restraining order after she was harassed by her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend while she was pregnant.
