The producers of “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” have denied rumors that the long talk show is about to be canceled.

Telepictures Television, the producer behind Ellen DeGeneres ‘self-titled show, has responded to a report that the show would be canceled due to mounting allegations of DeGeneres’ “rude” behavior by current and former employees, in addition to an alleged decrease in the ratings.

The cancellation rumors emerged after The Sun released a report claiming that ratings for DeGeneres’ talk show season 17 recently dropped 14 percent, citing statistics from TVNewsCheck. The report also included several comments, some from comedians and a television writer, who said DeGeneres is not pleasant to work with.

While the production company confirmed that the show has no plans to leave television, in May, a former bodyguard for the famous television personality backed the less-than-pleasant allegations against DeGeneres.

Tom Majercak told Fox News in an exclusive interview that he was selected to serve as executive protector for DeGeneres at the 86th Academy Awards. He escorted DeGeneres, his mother, and his wife, Portia De Rossi, throughout the night from the red carpet to the Dolby Theater and the governor’s glamorous dance after the ceremony.

The bodyguard concluded that DeGeneres was “very cold.” A DeGeneres representative did not respond to Fox News’ request for comment at the time.
