The coronavirus pandemic has spread several plans this year – including Princess Charlotte’s last chance to be a bridesmaid, a role-playing role for every little girl.
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s daughter, five, were to attend their schoolmaster’s jubilee wedding.
According to The Sunday Times, Thomas Van Straubenzee’s marriage to Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe has now taken place.
The couple – who were to walk down the aisle in April – finally tied the knot on July 24 at Chelsea Old Church in London with a restricted congregation.
Besides Charlotte, the Duke of Cambridge had also been inaugurated for the big day of his friend from Straubanzee.
However, only the parents and siblings of the 32-year-old bride and the 38-year-old groom were present as a result of ongoing restrictions on lockdown.
The Cambridges match is thought to have been played between Van Straubenzee, a partner in estate agent Knight Frank’s private office, and Lanigan-O’Keeffe, assistant principal at Thomas’s Clapham, the sister school for the Battersea institution Charlotte and brother attend Prince George.

The Duke and Brother Prince Harry became friends with the groom and his brother Charlie Van Straubenzee when they attended Ludgrove School in Berkshire.
Van Straubenzee’s marriage to Lanigan-O’Keeffe, with whom he is expecting a child, is his second since divorcing Lady Melissa Percy in 2016 after a three-year union.
Last year, his brother, also by The Sunday Times, was named one of the fathers to the Duke and Duchess of the son Archie of Sussex.
Charlie Van Straubanzee, a businessman who is often described as the duke’s “wingman”, gave a speech at the couple’s wedding in 2018.
