Prince William was candid about home schooling for two of his school-going children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, in the midst of the ongoing pandemic.
During a recent Zoom call that appeared in the new BBC documentary Soccer, Prince William and Mental Health, The Duke of Cambridge joked with the other parents, “Homeschooling is fun, isn’t it?”
Then he added, “You start to worry about how little you remember of your school days when you can’t ask the math questions at home.”
Former England goalkeeper Joe Hart joked that he didn’t know phonetics existed, although his 5-year-old son did.
“The challenges of the running of the bulls, hey!” Prince William replied.
Previously, Kate Middleton had also spoken about the challenges of homeschooling during a rare interview with the BBC.
“Don’t tell the kids, we’ve actually kept it on vacation,” said the royal mother. “I feel very bad!”
“Children have so much resistance, I don’t know how,” added Kate. “Honestly, you get to the end of the day and write down the list of all the things that you did that day. So, you set up a tent, put it down again, cook, bake. At the end of the day, they had a great time, but it’s amazing how much you can put in a day, that’s for sure. “
During another interview at ITV’s This morning, Kate said, “We are caught up in homeschooling again. George gets really mad that he just wants to do all of Charlotte’s projects. Spider sandwiches are so much cooler than literacy work!”
