“This is a couple that clearly tried their best to make it work,” he explained. “They even went so far as to present a possible route map for how they would navigate their roles forward.”
“Ultimately, it was the institution that turned her back and told her what she presented was simply not an option,” Scobie shared. “This was a couple that really wanted to make it work, but in the end I think the Royal Institution’s setup just wasn’t built for change at that dramatic level.”

Scobie thirsted for some more dirt on the feud between Prince William and Prince Harry during an interview before The Royal Beat on True Royalty TV. According to Scobie, there was tension between the brothers after Prince Harry and Meghan made their Megxit plan public, as William feared it could damage the family’s reputation.
‘We saw a point where the Cambridges supported them no matter what they did – if they wanted to leave, they wanted to leave. I don’t think there was really a lot of trying to keep them going, “Scobie explained.
He went on to say, “I think what really went wrong for Harry and Meghan and the Cambridges was that decision to go public with the roadmap to their new work model, the statements that were not discussed internally … that is really what caused the most amount of pain to William because he has two hats. “
