Prince William took his family on a vacation to the Isles of Scilly, where he enjoyed a child vacation with brother Harry and parents Charles and Diana.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge greeted the locals as they toured the impressive Tresco Island today.
They decided against a foreign breakup with George, seven, Charlotte, five, and Louis, two, in the midst of the coronavirus crisis.
Sources said the potential need to quarantine if visiting Europe would have hampered his return to work.
William was photographed as a boy visiting Scilly in June 1989 in shorts and a red sweater on a bike ride with his family.
And rumors spread after their 2011 wedding that he and Kate flew to the destination off the coast of Cornwall.
The couple, both 38, visited in 2016, when William recalled their journey as a seven-year-old boy.
A tourist said today: “William and Kate were riding their bikes, laughing. They looked so happy enjoying the weather.
“I did a double take. They were very kind and they said hello. “
The Cambridge have stayed at their Anmer Hall home in Norfolk.
A source said: “They decided on a quick getaway before the children return to school. They were interested in supporting our travel industry. “
The family is expected to return to Norfolk on Friday.
