The Queen’s speech from the White Drawing Room in Windsor Castle admired a war spirit when she told the nation “we will meet again” in April. Omid Scobie, royal commentator and author, said Prince Harry gave his grandmother a call for the speech.
He said: ‘Harry and his father are very close at the moment, and Harry and the Queen have this unbreakable bond.
“When she left her speech during lockdown, he was the first to pick up the phone and wish her luck.”
Mr. Scobie said he believes that despite the uproar caused by the Sussexes’ decision to resign as former royals Prince Harry and the Queen remain close.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their plans earlier this year.
Speaking to OK magazine, Mr Scobie added: “These relationships have not been permanently shaken by what has happened.
“But when it became clear that their ‘half in, half out’ working mode would not work, it was almost impossible to return.”
The Queen’s pre-recorded speech was filmed by just one cameraman who carried full PPE and maintained social distance.
The historic broadcast was watched by millions in the United Kingdom.

He said: “The tiara selection went beautifully. The queen was very happy, Meghan was very happy.
“In fact, Meghan’s words when that story came out were ‘how sad, I love my tiara’.
“The drama happened afterward, when Meghan wanted to try that tiara with her hair stylist, because there’s a lot of tech going into this.
“They had to experiment for that before the wedding.
“The hairstylist came from abroad, there was an appointment at Buckingham Palace, but there was none.”
Mr. Scobie highlighted how the Duchess tried to organize a day to do a test drive, but Mrs. Kelly was unhappy.
He said: “Every time Angela Kelly is not available to arrange this, to provide this, despite the agreement.
“It got to the point where staff around Harry and Meghan were bursting their hair because the wedding was a few weeks away, months were over at this point.
“Harry had to intervene. He called his grandmother and said, ‘I do not know what the hell is going on, but this woman must do this work for my future wife.’
“We can now kind of see where this ‘what Meghan wants, Meghan gets’ narrative comes from.”
