Evanescence has released a video for their new single titled The game is over.
The band released the song earlier this week, the second song taken from their long-awaited new studio album. The bitter truth.
Evanescence shared the first track on the record, Lost in You, in April.
Explaining the lyrics, vocalist Amy Lee said, “This song is about being fed up with the facade. The costumes we wear to make others feel comfortable, the inner feelings are so different from what we show on the outside to fit within the limits of what is socially acceptable, or what will not make you unpleasant or too “strange “to be around.
“The game is over It is a promise to myself and out loud that I will be more of my real and internal being on the outside, not shutting it up because it can no longer be contained.
“It is also a prayer to improve, not to feel so disordered, locked up and hurt inside.”
Evanescence will address the Clash of worlds He tours with Within Temptation next year, after his plans for 2020 were put on hold due to the closure.
