Pregnant The Vampire Diaries star Claire Holt reveals she suffered from postpartum anxiety

Claire Holt has revealed that she suffered postpartum anxiety after the birth of her son James, now one.

In a series of Instagram posts shared on Friday, the 32-year-old Vampire Diaries actress wrote, “ After having James, I really struggled with postpartum anxiety.

‘Breastfeeding was incredibly difficult, I was suffering from an allergy to cow’s milk protein (from which fortunately it has grown), her sleep was practically non-existent and I felt so overwhelmed.

“I had friends with babies and was very grateful for their advice, but I certainly didn’t want to call or text at 2am with my never-ending list of problems.”

Claire, who is currently expecting her second child, went on to say that she was happy to discover the Peanut app, which connects mothers.

“ Instead of the frantic Google searches at night, I could have connected with other women who were experiencing the same thing as me.

“I am sure I would have felt less isolated and scared,” she added.

The actress added: ‘Motherhood is the best thing I have ever done in my life. It is also the most challenging. ‘

Claire and husband Andrew Joblon recently revealed that they are expecting a girl.

The Australian actress announced her pregnancy on April 3, with a sweet family photo showing her growing belly.

Before The Vampire Diaries student gave birth to one-year-old James, she experienced a devastating miscarriage.

The actress was delighted to announce her first pregnancy in October 2018, and said the news had come after the “deep pain of loss.”
