After a few weeks of waiting, the Pixel 4a has made its way to order customers. We’ve heard from our readers about when they should expect to get their phones, and some have arrived early, up to two days before the formal launch of Google on August 20th.
Shannon from Indianapolis told us that she ordered two Pixel 4a phones and was notified that her units should arrive on August 19 or 20 – that’s Wednesday or Thursday this week.
Erik sent us her Google Store notification email and it looks like she’s getting her 4a about the same time.
One of our regular correspondents, Shane, tells us that his shipment went out today with an earlier delivery window of August 18 or 19, which means his phone could arrive as soon as the 18th – and in a sequel, we are told that it the.
AP reader Shannon reports that two Pixel 4a phones she ordered arrived in Indiana not far from Google’s tracking center. Other reports on social media in locations like Reddit indicate that Pixel 4a pre-orders also arrive early for others.
Google actually has a long standing habit of supplying phones to some people a bit before its expected release date. The company did the same for the Pixel 3, Pixel 4.
As a reminder, Google is currently completing orders for unlocked, Google Fi and Verizon-locked devices. US Cellular is set to sell its own 4A phones from August 20th.
