There has been a lot of talk in recent months about the potential of a Mass Effect Trilogy remaster, and now some customers have apparently been able to pre-order it at the major UK retailer GAME.
A few days ago a picture online leak appears to show a list of upcoming game release dates, including the Mass Effect Trilogy remaster under the name ‘N7’.
This list was identified as coming from the retailer, so a handful of fans visited the store and tried to pre-order the ‘N7’ game, and were surprisingly successful at doing so. You can see one of the receipts below (dep = deposit).
“Much to my surprise, after I asked the office, and the attendant checked a shopping list on a tablet (apparently identical to the one leaking), I was able to pre-order the game.”
According to the list, the game is scheduled to be released on September 29, although there is a lot of skepticism about that date. Industry insider Shinobi62 recently stated that neither the name of the game nor its September release date are correct, suggesting that the list refers to outdated / placeholder information.
However, VentureBeat’s Jeff Grubb has previously noted that the Mass Effect Trilogy remaster is underway this year and that it is definitely a current-gen title – so hopefully it will finally get an official reveal soon!
