Kevin de Bruyne, Belgian midfielder for Manchester City, Roberto Lewandowski and Manuel Neuer, respectively, Polish striker and Bayern German goalkeeper, are the three finalists for the UEFA player of the year award.

Out of the race were Lionel Messi, Neymar and Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese international was the tenth most voted (25 votes), behind Messi and Neymar (both with 53), Thomas Müller (41), Kylian Mbappé (39), Thiago Alcántara (27) and Joshua Kimmich (26).

The winner will be announced in Nyon on October 1 during the Champions League group stage draw.

The 80 coaches who participated in the group stages of the Champions League (32) and the Europa League (48) in the 2019/20 season participated in the vote, along with 55 journalists from European Sports Media (ESM), of which is part of ABOLA.

Lucy Bronze (Manchester City), Pernille Harder (Chelsea) and Wendie Renard (Lyon) are the three finalists for the 2019/20 Best Player award.
