Less than 48 hours after arriving at Lisbon airport, Ihor Homeniúk would end up being brutally murdered in the custody of the Foreign and Border Services (SEF). The video surveillance cameras, to which the SIC had access, show the first images of the Ukrainian at Lisbon airport, as well as the almost seven hours that he was abandoned until his death.

Reaching the country was difficult in the first minutes: Ihor had a seizure of epilepsy while waiting for his luggage and was assisted at the airport. He spent the first night at the Santa María hospital.

He returned the next day, having been left in the room of the SEF Temporary Installation Center. He was laid on the ground by two SEF inspectors who tried to handcuff him, transported and isolated in the Doctors of the World ward.

The footage shows that Ihor still leaves the room left alone and makes his way to the reception, but the security guards send him back through the narrow hallways. Around 1:00 am he is assisted by a team from the Red Cross. With his hands tied with duct tape, Ihor is still immobilized with sheets tied to his body.

The next morning, March 12, the three men who allegedly ended up murdering him enter the room where the Ukrainian citizen is located. It would be the first time that the three inspectors had seen the Ukrainian. 20 minutes later they leave the place and IHor would be left with only serious injuries after being brutally beaten.

According to images from surveillance cameras, the Ukrainian was reported to have been abandoned for seven hours until his death. The alert would only be given around 5:00 p.m., when new inspectors go to the room to indicate a plane. But it would be too late.
