Positive Covid-19 parties: the new fashion among university students – World

The phenomenon is growing in the UK, especially at the Universities of Manchester and Northumbria. College students are throwing parties just for ‘Covid-19 positives’. The idea is to save social lives and end the removal measures imposed by the new coronavirus pandemic.

Freshmen from both universities reveal that there are parties 24 hours a day, but with severe restrictions. These illegal parties began to emerge when universities totally canceled face-to-face education to contain the infection rate on university campuses.

Manchester universities have already announced to their 73,000 students that online classes are expected to continue until at least November. In Sheffield, the university will keep face-to-face classes on hold until 19 October. In Exeter, several students were sent home after violating guidelines to contain the spread of Covid-19.

On Saturday, authorities disrupted a party organized by students at the University of Manchester. “There was a party inside an apartment where the entry policy was going to be positive for Covid-19,” a physics student revealed to The Guardian.

College parties take place at a time when Covid-19 cases in the UK continue to rise, with more than 3,000 cases daily.
