Ana Moura mourned the death of American actor Chadwick Boseman, with whom she was a friend.
Recalling a photo in which they are together, watching an NBA game, the singer writes: “My dear Chadwick, what sad news, what a bloody disease.”
The protagonist of “Black Panther” and “Get On Up” (where he played the role of musician James Brown) passed away this Friday, losing a multi-year battle with cancer. He was 43 years old.

On Facebook, Ana Moura’s agent Vasco Sacramento recalled a dinner with the actor in September 2015 in Los Angeles.
“In the middle of the recordings of the last Ana Moura album, I turned 38 years old. (…) That night we went to dinner with a friend of Ana, an actor, whom I had met a few years earlier, through Mick Jagger, when she was playing James Brown on screen. It was Chadwick Boseman. (…) It amazed her that there was a madman on the other side of the world who sacrificed the first hours to follow the incidents of the games [da NBA] and I loved the stories he told me about behind the scenes and the quirks of the main leads, his personal friends.
