Iker Lecuona misses the Grand Prix of the Valencian Community.

The Spanish rider Iker Lecuona, partner of the Portuguese Miguel Oliveira, will miss the Grand Prix of the Valencian Community of MotoGP, after having tested positive for the new coronavirus, the KTM Tech3 team announced this Saturday.

The team reveals that Lecuona was in quarantine for 10 days, after being in contact with his brother, who tested positive last week.

“Upon arrival [a Valência], the Red Bull KTM Tech3 rider underwent another PCR test, which came back positive. Thus, Lecuona will miss the GP of the Valencian Community this weekend ”, reads in the team statement.

Tech3 also reports that Lecuona will conduct further tests to see if it can participate in the Portuguese Grand Prix, the last race of the World Speed ​​Motorcycle Championship, next week.
