The Portuguese rider, who had been the fastest in the morning session, improved by almost 200 milliseconds in the afternoon session, making his best lap in 1.39.946 minutes, 529 milliseconds of the day, the French Johann Zarco (Ducati ).

“It was a positive first day. From morning to afternoon we improved the bike a lot. With this bike and tire ‘package’ we were a bit far from the potential we had, because we saved a soft tire for Saturday, so our lap fast It wasn’t perfect ”, the Almada pilot began by explaining, in statements released by his press office.

Miguel Oliveira chose to find the best fit on his bike thinking about Sunday’s race, saving the best tires for qualifying on Saturday.

“I did my best lap with the middle compound at the back. I’m happy, with room for improvement,” reinforced the Tech3 rider.

Two more free training sessions and the qualifying session, divided into two parts, are scheduled for Saturday.

The first (Q1), which brings together the 10 slowest drivers in the third free practice session, and the second, with the 10 remaining drivers plus the two fastest in Q1.

After 13 races, Miguel Oliveira occupies the tenth position of the World Championship of speed motorcycling, with 100 points.
