The Portuguese rider Miguel Oliveira (KTM) finished this Friday in 13th position the first day of free practice of the MotoGP Portuguese Grand Prix, the 14th and last race of the World Championship, which runs until Sunday at the Autodromo Internacional do Algarve.

Oliveira, who had been the faster in the morning session, improved almost 200 milliseconds in the afternoon session, running his best lap in 1.39.946 minutes, 529 milliseconds of the fastest of the day, the French Johann Zarco (Ducati).

Miguel Oliveira:

The top 15 finishers finished half a second apart in the second practice, after Miguel Oliveira was the fastest in the first, with 1.40.122 minutes, a record on the Portimão track that has now been broken by Zarco.

Two more free practice sessions and the qualifying session, divided into two parts, are scheduled for Saturday.

The first (Q1), which brings together the 10 slowest drivers in the third free practice session, and the second, with the 10 remaining drivers plus the two fastest in Q1.

After 13 races, Miguel Oliveira occupies the tenth position of the World Championship of speed motorcycling, with 100 points.
