La Liga confirmed that Sporting de Braga will carry out the punishment match behind closed doors at the reception at Portimonense, this Thursday, on the 17th round of the First League.

The Disciplinary Council of the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) sanctioned Minho with a game behind closed doors for not having released the images of the video surveillance system of several games since 2019.

SAD minhota waived the regulatory term that establishes that the sanction would only be executed 15 days after it was pronounced, so the game behind closed doors will take place “in the next official game that the sports society competes in the visited condition”, that is, the duel of this round with the Algarvians, who, as is known, would no longer have the presence of the public in the venue, due to the Covid19 pandemic.

It should be noted that Sp. Braga announced that it will appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAD) and that, if it is right, it will file a lawsuit against the League and the FPF for damages and loss of image.
