TO Iranian justice executed by hanging four men for the rape of a 20-year-old woman in the Khorasan region. The group, which became known as the ‘Fariman hyenas’ due to the shocking nature of the crime, kidnapped the couple, committed the assault in October last year.

According to El Mundo, the attackers were accused of kidnapping, rape, threats and lack of response. They were identified and detained in various areas of Iran, days after the crime.

Ruhollah Javidi Rad, Mohammad Sayadi Baghansgani, Mohammad Hosseini and Mohammad Watandoost, who had criminal records, abducted the couple, wounded the man with a knife to immobilize him and raped the woman, leaving them abandoned.

The couple were climbing when they were kidnapped.

Citing local media, the Spanish newspaper indicates that the attackers noticed the couple the day before the crime and waited for the best moment to attack.

After being abandoned, her husband, wounded and tied, managed to free himself and called the police.

Remember that in Iran, whose president is Hassan Rohani (pictured), rape is punishable by death. The country, due to the impact of the ‘sharia’ or religious law in the Islamic Penal Code, is the country with the highest number of executions in the world after China.

The crime once again brought to the debate the executions in the country, criticized for their inhumanity. However, the majority position in this case is in favor of the death penalty.
