Former CDS activist enters Chega with Justice portfolio and attacks Isabel Moreira

Pedro Borges de Lemos, who led a conservative current not formalized in the CDS, the “CDS XXI”, will become Chega’s militant in a few days. André Ventura invited him to coordinate the Justice portfolio and the proposals for the sector. The DN is already attacking the election of the PS deputy Isabel Moreira to comment on the party’s constitutional revision project.

“It is an unfortunate situation that a person who has been crossing against Chega comes to express an opinion on the constitutional revision project,” says Pedro Borges de Lemos. This is after Isabel Moreira, who has already accused André Ventura’s party of “racism”, having been elected by the President of the Assembly of the Republic, Ferro Rodrigues, to evaluate the Chega project, announced on September 22, and which provides, among other things, for the chemical castration of criminals convicted of raping minors.

And even before the ruling, Pedro Borges de Lemos shoots and questions whether the deputy has already risen up against countries like Denmark and Sweden, with socialist governments, and that apply chemical castration. Or the same was done with respect to the figure of life imprisonment that exists in Wales, England and the Netherlands. “Civilized countries with a great sense of humanity”, guarantees Pedro Borges de Lemos.

The excentric militant says that in order to carry out the task of defining Chega’s Justice policy, a team of “versatile” lawyers will be set up, who are not linked to large law firms and “are not accomplices of the system,” that is, with Contracts with the State. Because, he says, “obviously this affects the freedom of people in the proposals they make.”
