EDP ​​Renováveis ​​thus reaches a new record in trading. The previous maximum reached had been on December 29, when the price reached 23.40 euros during the negotiation.

As for the closing, the most affected value occurred on December 30 when it closed at 23 euros.

The price of EDP Renováveis ​​shares increased by almost 125% in the space of a year, and currently stands at 20.24 billion euros.

The assessment comes after the Financial Times published its ranking of the world’s most valued companies in 2020. In a ranking led by Tesla, EDP Renováveis ​​appears in position 44 after having valued 138% in 2020.

“EDPR stands out as a” pure game “renewable energy group with 11.5 gigawatts of installed wind and solar capacity in the US, Europe and Brazil,” according to the Financial Times article.

EDP ​​appreciated 39% in the space of one year, with a market capitalization of 20,910 million euros, the highest on the Lisbon Stock Exchange, with EDP Renováveis ​​in second position.

CTT rose 1.7% to 2.39 euros, Galp gained 1.71% to 8.90 euros, Jerónimo Martins rose 1.48% to 14.03 euros, and for NOS, which is up 1.12 % up to 2.89 euros.

At the top of earnings is Novabase, which rises 3.12% to 3,310 euros.

Abroad, the main European markets are trading higher, driven by news about vaccination and the possibility of economic recovery this year, after the great crisis that occurred in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Thus, Frankfurt gains 0.66%, Paris rises 1.28%, Madrid rises 0.95%. In London, the FTSE 100 rose 2.29% on the first trading day following the completion of the UK’s exit from the European Union on December 31.
