Benfica’s General Director of Professional Soccer, Tiago Pinto, will end his professional relationship with our Club on December 31st.
Eight years after arriving at Sport Lisboa e BenficaAt the invitation of President Luís Filipe Vieira, Tiago Pinto decided to accept the challenge of leading the sports management of AS Roma, starting his duties at the Italian club in early 2021.
“I will always be grateful to Benfica, and to our president, for the opportunity that was given to me.. They were eight intense years. I did the best I could and everyone who knows me knows that this decision was the most difficult of all the ones I made as the head of this club, ”says Tiago Pinto.
“I would have liked to have contributed even more, but I am sure that I have done everything I could. I have accepted, in recent days, a new challenge and a new opportunity, not being the right time to talk about the next stage of my career “, guarantees.
“The priority continues to be Benfica and the day-to-day life of our professional football team, a project in which I will remain very committed until the last day., having the certainty that the Club will know how to find the best solutions to continue with its successful project ”, declares Tiago Pinto.
