ORA cat, named Arthur, was playing in the garden with his owners’ children at his home in Queensland, Australia, when he spotted a snake.

Before the reptile could get near and pose a risk to the children, the cat attacked the snake.

Arthur managed to catch the snake, but ended up being bitten by the snake that has the second most toxic poison in the world.

The story was shared on the Animal Emergency Service Facebook page which says that a small amount of venom from this snake is enough to render someone paraplegic in seconds.

Arthur ended up not surviving and many say he is a “four-legged hero”.

The brown snake, it stands out, is one of the most poisonous snakes in Australia.
