The president of Belenenses, Patrick Morais de Carvalho, said Thursday that Belenenses SAD, a soccer club that works in the 1st soccer league, is preparing to change its name to Comporta Football Club, a name already registered with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI).

The Belenenses members decide this Saturday the future of the club, in an election with three candidates with different visions, which contrast in the continuity of the path back to the professional football stands or in the repurchase of the SAD.
The lawyer and current president Patrick Morais de Carvalho leads the A list, under the slogan ‘Belenenses with a future’, keeping Pedro Pestana Bastos and João Morão as presidents of the General Meeting (MAG) and of the Fiscal and Disciplinary Council (CFD), respectively.
In list B, the economist Carlos Canhoto Fernandes, who, under the motto ‘Erguer os Belenenses’, has Fernando Veiga Gomes as MAG president and Jorge Gomes Pedro at the head of the CFD.
Coach Luís Figueiredo is running for the club’s management, João Tarrana for MAG and Luís Filipe Pinto for CFD, for the C list, with the motto ‘Respect history’.
