AEven before police discovered about 50 bodies in four small refrigerated trucks rented by a funeral home in Brooklyn, New York, there was already evidence that something was wrong with that company.

Zeqway Clarke was in Andrew D.’s chapel Cleckley Funeral Home, on the 9th of April, with his family, for the funeral of his 88-year-old grandfather. Behind the coffin, in a space between the cloth that covered part of the room, Clarke saw a foot.

The man, who was equipped with a mask, gloves and protectionAs required, he waited for the end of the funeral and said goodbye to his grandfather. Then he took advantage of standing at the foot of the coffin to present the mobile phone through an opening in the fabric, higher up, and captured an image.

Clarke, 39, said she saw the image only when she returned to her seat. “It was just bodies, bodies on the floor, people on top of each other,” he said. “I was horrified,” he added.

The images, which were later shared with The Daily Beast, show at least eight bodies that were randomly left on the ground, some of which are only partially covered by sheets. In three of them, the faces are visible.
