At the farewell to Benfica, Tiago Pinto gave an interview to BTV. The former director general of the Eagles addressed the issue of the investment that the Luz emblem has made this season.

There is no doubt about the quality of what Benfica signed this year, regardless of whether there was another moment when the team did not play as expected. It’s hard to understand, but the gift doesn’t always measure up to the value of the hire. Tiago Pinto also highlighted the confidence in the current squad.
“At the end of last season, we defined a more immediate strategy to withdraw sports performance. We had the great objective of being in the Champions League and we did not achieve it, the Super Cup and we did not, but I remain convinced that Benfica has the quality to win all the competitions and go far in the Europa League ”, he concluded.
