A sign of hope: Pfizer’s Covid-19 vaccines start to roll off the production line

We have longed for and dreamed of the Covid-19 vaccine. As new cases emerge and the forecasts grow increasingly bleak, any sign of hope is a positive sign.

The British newspaper Daily mail published the first images of vaccines from the pharmaceutical giant Pfizer on the production line. In the video it is possible to see thousands of bottles to be completed and then distributed around the world.

According to the The mail, Already “several hundred thousand doses” of the drug have been manufactured at the pharmaceutical factory in Puurs, Belgium.

After manufacture, all of these vials will be stored to be ready for global release when, and if, clinical trials prove successful and this vaccine is deemed safe and effective by regulators.

The US giant expects to make 100 million doses available by the end of this year, to be distributed to various countries, and still expects 1.3 billion bottles to be made in 2021.

Pfizer works in partnership with BioNTech of Germany and is currently testing 44,000 people. Last week, the company assumed that it plans to apply for emergency U.S. approval for the vaccine in November.
