Xbox Series X Temperature Measured With Thermal Camera • Eurogamer – Game Reviews, News & More

Does the console get as hot as some say?

Here is the test of nine to clarify once and for all if the Xbox Series X is very hot or not.

A few weeks ago, when the console began to hit the press, a French journalist compared the console to a fireplace. Soon after, Microsoft responded by saying that the console is not significantly hotter than the Xbox One X.

Leaving everything on clean plates, Windows Central used the thermal imaging camera to measure the temperature of the Xbox Series X in operation. The temperature was measured while Monster Hunter World was running.

As you can see in the picture, the temperature of the console does not exceed 35 degrees. There are a few things to keep in mind, namely the ambient temperature (the temperature was measured in the UK, where it is already cold) and the game in question.

It is possible that during the summer and that with a more demanding game (developed from scratch for the Xbox Series X) the console will heat up a bit more. Still, 35 degrees is far from the temperature that a fireplace emits.

The Xbox Series X will hit stores on November 10.
