HE Comedy Wildlife Photographer of the Year 2020 aims to recognize the funniest pictures of animals taken in the wild. Photographers around the world have captured moments where animals appear to be experience human emotions or existential dilemmas and the result is hilarious.
There are lions, hippos, monkeys or turtles in inappropriate poses, a little bit of everything and just living their lives in their natural habitats.
The founders of the Tom award sullam and paul Joynson-Hicks started the contest to warn of the need to conserve wildlife and hope the photos will remind people to shop responsibly, to pay more attention to overuse of Water in their homes, for example, as well as environmental problems.
The 44 finalists were announced this Thursday, 10 September, and the winner will be announced in an online ceremony on 22 October.
