Portland Trail Blazers Vs. Los Angeles Lakers, Game 3: Live updates, score, TV channel, how to watch live stream online

Los Angeles Lakers forward Anthony Davis, frustrated with his Game 1 performance against the Portland Trail Blazers, promises to be more aggressive in Game 2.

Davis immediately remained true to his word, but put up 11 points, five handballs and two assists in the first quarter of Thursday’s 111-88 win for the Lakers. He finished with 31 points and 11 rebounds in just 29 minutes.

With all due respect to LeBron James, it could actually be Davis who finally makes it into the Blazers in this first round NBA playoff series tied at 1-1.

“We have to hold him accountable, there is no question of, by keeping him out of the paint as much as possible, limiting his offensive rebounds,” said Terry Stotts’ Trailry Coach. “We need to rebound the ball better as a group. But sure, he did a little bit of everything. ”

One of those accomplishments will be a whole lot of order, given that Davis is not only the most athletic big man in this series, he is also the most versatile. He made 3 of 4 three-point shots in Game 3. He made post spacious moves. A mid-range game. He is missing when he goes to rebounds or attacks the rim.

Zach Collins would have been the best option, but he is done for the season with an ankle injury. Portland will have to get creative if Davis continues to be an issue.

“The best we can do is work for him and make his chances difficult,” Stotts said.
