Portland police say riot after fire set in area


Portland police have declared an uprising near the city’s North Precinct after officers reported protesters hurled rocks, bottles and lasers at them.

A fire burned a mark on the northern part of the city late Sunday, news reports reported. The tear gas was deployed after the fire was extinguished, according to news reports. Protesters had marched to the area from a park, singing several things, including “Jacob Blake,” which Wisconsin Gov. The department later tweeted, “Stop attacking officers.”

The latest unrest follows on Saturday a violent protest that was eventually sparked by federal authorities of a plaza near a federal building as a demonstration of dual in Portland by right-wing and left-wing Protestants became violent and 14 were arrested.
